Damaged or blocked fallopian tubes is a common cause of female infertility, because inside the fallopian tube is the site where sperm fertilizes the woman's egg. Tubal blockages or injure may be caused by pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, previous surgeries, ectopic pregnancy or tubal ligation. Some women are not capable to conceive due to tubal block. In these women the fallopian tubes are blocked. Fallopian tubes are the area fertilization takes place. Egg from the ovary is composed in the fallopian tube. Sperm reached the egg in the tube and fertilization occurs. The image bellow shows the fertilization in the tubes.
